Wrongful death litigation often follows accidents like this one

Tragedy struck in Texas this week after a young couple got married at a courthouse. The pair had dated each other off and on since they were in their youth. Moments after they left the courthouse, they were involved in a deadly collision. In situations like this, family members of fatally injured accident victims often file wrongful death claims in court.

Officials say another vehicle slammed into the newlyweds' car as they drove away from the courthouse. Sadly, the same justice of the peace who presided over the wedding ceremony moments earlier pronounced the couple, ages 19 and 20, deceased at the scene of the crash. To make matters worse, the groom's mother witnessed the collision, intensifying the sorrow of the situation and leaving her with emotional scars she says she will carry the rest of her life.

She saw another vehicle slam into the couple's car. Reportedly, she tried in vain to pull her son from the wreckage and must now live with that haunting memory. The couple's vehicle reportedly flipped several times and finally came to a halt in a nearby ditch.

The other driver was hauling a trailer that carried a tractor on it. An investigation of the collision remains active at this time. Wrongful death claims in Texas  and beyond often lead to financial relief for grieving families whose loved ones died because of the negligence of another party. Lives, of course, are irreplaceable; however, a financial settlement or court-awarded monetary judgment can help cover the financial losses that typically occur as a result of these tragic circumstances.

  • Great Lawyer For A Reasonable Price

Mr. Hulett was a very competent and effective lawyer for me in my custody case. Not only did we get the desired result but he did it for less than half of what my ex paid to her attorney on the same matter.
